The purpose of this study was to analyze the moderating effect of coping strategies on the relationship between burden and gain; and the moderating effect of coping strategies on the relationship between burden and family quality of life among dementia family caregivers. Research was conducted on 141 family caregivers of people with dementia. Research findings suggest that engagement coping strategies exerted a positive effect on caregivers` gain and family quality of life. In addition, it is empirically supported that engagement coping strategies buffered the negative effect of caregiver burden on family quality of life. In other words, the effects of caregiver burden decreased with the increase in the frequency of engagement coping strategies. However, As the levels of burden are higher, caregivers with high disengagement coping strategies significantly lower levels of Family quality of life than caregivers with low disengagement coping strategies. Finally, this paper attempted to provide some alternatives to effectively improve caregivers`gain and their family quality of life based on empirical findings.
